These three questions created the need for the transition from Soft Skills to Human Skills. \u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>In this article, you will find answers to the following questions:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><em>What are Human Skills? <\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em>How do they differ from Soft Skills? <\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em>What is included in the Human Skills list? <\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em>How can they help us in our lives? <\/em><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n<h2 id=\"\u03b7-\u03c4\u03b5\u03c7\u03bd\u03b9\u03ba\u03ae-\u03c4\u03bf\u03c5-role-play\"><strong>Human Skills<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For many years now, it has become clear that focusing only on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Science,_technology,_engineering,_and_mathematics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">STEM<\/a> skills (Science &#8211; Technology &#8211; Engineering &#8211; Mathematics) <strong>is not enough<\/strong>. We see teams with innovative ideas fail because their members do not collaborate or communicate effectively. We also see brilliant initiatives become trapped due to poor organization.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every employee, therefore, needs a set of <strong>essential non-technical skills<\/strong>\u00a0to thrive in today\u2019s digitally driven organizations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"\u03c4\u03b9-\u03b1\u03ba\u03c1\u03b9\u03b2\u03ce\u03c2-\u03b5\u03af\u03bd\u03b1\u03b9-\u03c4\u03bf-role-play\"><strong>The Human Skills Matrix<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers at MIT, as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/jwel.mit.edu\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">J-WEL<\/a> initiative, developed a tool that brings together all the essential social skills of the digital era. These skills enable rapid learning and adaptability across industries.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">This tool is called: The Human Skills Matrix.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its development was based on a rigorous and thorough process. In the end, 24 core human skills emerged. Fortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/gametree.gr\/en\/services\/\">in the context of our work<\/a>, we no longer need to explain what the term means when we mention it. <strong>Customer Service Excellence, Collaboration and Teamwork, Communication, Stress Management, Time Management, Emotional Intelligence, Leadership<\/strong>, and all the skills that help us live and work more harmoniously with others have been recognized as critical success factors for employees. We could say that <strong>Human Skills represent an expanded version of Soft Skills<\/strong>. This new framework highlights additional dimensions that had not previously received sufficient attention.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-\u03b5\u03be\u03b7\u03b3\u03b5\u03af\u03c3\u03c4\u03b5-\u03ba\u03b1\u03bb\u03ac-\u03c4\u03b7-\u03b4\u03b9\u03b1\u03b4\u03b9\u03ba\u03b1\u03c3\u03af\u03b1-\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c5\u03c2-\u03b5\u03ba\u03c0\u03b1\u03b9\u03b4\u03b5\u03c5\u03cc\u03bc\u03b5\u03bd\u03bf\u03c5\u03c2\">Not Only Sales, but Also Ethics<\/h5>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Usually, the goal of Learning &amp; Development initiatives is business performance. In organizations with healthy cultures, this focus is balanced with the goal of human well-being. The Human Skills Matrix now <strong>allows us to discuss additional concepts as well.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Ethics<\/strong> &#8211; This skill highlights the importance of considering everyone affected by our actions, not just ourselves. It reinforces the idea that <strong>the end does not justify the means<\/strong> and that our actions should promote the common good.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Integrity<\/strong> &#8211; This skill emphasizes <strong>doing the right thing<\/strong> <strong>consistently and honestly, guided by strong moral principles. <\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Comfort with ambiguity<\/strong> &#8211; This skill suggests that we should remain <strong>open to diversity and inclusion<\/strong> when making decisions or seeking solutions.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Other important &#8211; and previously somewhat overlooked &#8211; skills also stand out, such as <strong>Entrepreneurship<\/strong>, <strong>Growth mindset<\/strong>, <strong>Accountability<\/strong>, <strong>Adaptability<\/strong>, <strong>Persistence<\/strong>, <strong>Professionalism<\/strong>, <strong>Initiative<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"5-\u03be\u03b5\u03ba\u03b9\u03bd\u03ae\u03c3\u03c4\u03b5-\u03c4\u03bf-debrief-\u03b1\u03c0\u03cc-\u03c4\u03bf\u03bd-\u03c0\u03b9\u03bf-\u03b4\u03cd\u03c3\u03ba\u03bf\u03bb\u03bf-\u03c1\u03cc\u03bb\u03bf\">A Serious Effort to Align with the Digital Era<\/h5>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ability to change is becoming synonymous with the ability to survive for all living beings on the planet, including humans. At a time when machines are taking over responsibilities that, until recently, belonged exclusively to humans, we <strong>need to strengthen what machines still struggle to replicate<\/strong>: social and human skills.
